The great divorce- CS Lewis

Re-reading this book. Bought this years ago when still in Az on recommendation by CIL, David I think. I couldn't really understand what the whole book was about then and so decided to read again last week. Still finding this a tough book and struggling to finish it. Anyhow I like this passage,"there have been some who were so occupied in spreading Christianity that they never gave a thought to Christ...did ye never know a lover of books that with all his first editions am signed copies had lost the power to read them? Or an organizer of charities that had lost all love for the poor? It is the subtlest of all the snares."
How true. In the process of doing, we lose sight of the purpose and what's truly
Important.
